1 down 1 to go

The first day of demo's is over and everything went well. Tomorrow is the same exersice as today, but with fewer people. There were several VIPs there today, some I knew, some not.
I called and talked to my youngest, she sounds so sad when she says she misses me, it is good to hear, but also hard. 2 more days then home. We did eat a big steak dinner, for having a good demo, but of course i ate too much. Guess I can't skip the gym tomorrow like i had planned.
I was up early today, the fire alarm kept ging off at the hotel, about 8 times. people were running up and down the halls, but they never made us leave, we just stood in the hall, I went back to bed after it stopped the second time.
I did find out what was wrong witht he mattress in the hotel, someone left a whisky bottle under the mattress. An unneeded lump. It was empty, I guess someone wants the next person to dispose of it, who knows why one leaves an empty bottle under the bed.

it's nice to not be broken

Another day, and anther flight test. Things went well, there is one issue, but it is not in ny stuff, which i am very glad. I dont need attention the day before a big demo. These last few days seem to drag on.
There is so much going on at home i can't keep track. dances, concerts, performances, trips, etc. 4B will leave the day before i get back , so i wont seem him for even longer. S called and said she bought a grand piano, i how she likes it. I was getting tired of having money in savings anyway.
She has been good to me, she deserves something nice.

So another week went by, it has been very busy. I have worked everyday for the last few weeks. Things are going OK here, but the big demo is next week so there is no time to change or fix anything risky. At least the weather has been nice. One more week before going back home.
Today my freinds left for the hunting trip, i was going to go until my stay here got extended. I was looking forward to camping out with friends.
I is somewhat interesting here, it is not often i get to see the planes a nd helicopters, and such up close. I called my dad while standing out on the wing of a c135 , i think he got a kick out of that (yes it was on the ground at the time).
We are eating too well, i think if i wasnt running every morning i wouldnt be able to fit through the door. running at 5:00 am takes some getting use to for me, but i am getting there. S would kill me if i started up the treadmill at 5 back home, maybe it is time to move it out of the bedroom ( the tread mill, not S).

Have been in NM for a while, and will be for a few more weeks.
The ballon festival is going on, there are balloons all over in the morning.
The flights are going great. Everything is working for the most part, it gets
boring most of the time. H got her wisdom teeth out today, she is doing OK.
Iwish I could have been there.

Lake trip

The trip to Lake Powell was fun. I got home from NM only a few hours before we had to leave, so I didnt prepare much. I also ended up driving, which I wasn't ready for either. It turned out fine though. We did have an adventure, the first day was dry, but then the rain came and went. We did go on several hikes, and rock climbs, tried wake board thing, played games, and ate a lot.
It rained almost 4 inches while we were there, it was a huge storm. The cool part was it all came over the top of the canyon rim in many big waterfalls. The lake rose 3 feet, which caused a few problebs with things floting away, but we got them back. A few of the hikes we came back completely drenched, but I didn't get those picutures yet. The first picture is from up the hill, where I am in the other pic. The houseboat is in the water there.
Even the frogs came out for the rain. I have a video of the waterfall, but not sure how to show it here. I leave again tomorrow for NM again, for another 2 weeks.

Good day

It was a good day, we finally were able to fly the system i have been
working on for the last few years on a big plane. Everything just worked,
it was great. I didn't have much to do but clean up after the stupid
mice that invade the trailer, it is better than panicing over failures.
Back home tomorrow, hopfully not to rarrbit. Then after a breif
8 hours, off again.
Have been eating too much, went to a brazilian place, ate a few cows worth
of beef. It was OK, but pricy, glad I am not paying for it.
I felt guilty so i got up at 5 am to go running, which was all
cancelled by go to the seafood place the next day. That's what
life is about, balance.

October is such a busy month, I think I will be home for 5 days and gone variuos places the rest of the time. Went to see my niece get married, it was nice. Was able to visit with my BIL that came over from Iraq for the wedding. At least I get home more that he does.
Have our first test flight tomorrow, I hope it goes well.
